The United States Army Fires Center of Excellence (FCoE) is committed to training and developing exceptional Soldiers and Leaders, creating capabilities, and delivering a Fires Force to support the Joint Warfighting Commander across various operations in both Joint and Multinational settings.
The Chief Information Office Support Staff at the USAFCOEFS is tasked with providing crucial Information Technology (IT) services essential for achieving all missions. Your role will be pivotal in sustaining both current and emerging IT support systems.
Security Clearance: A SECRET clearance is required or the ability to obtain an INTERIM SECRET clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Register client equipment with the installation’s current software/asset management application.
- Manage the lifecycle of Microsoft Intune accounts and client systems—including creation, maintenance, deletion, and troubleshooting.
- Provide technical support to users via phone, remote assistance, and on-site visits to resolve application and configuration issues.
- Ensure local operating systems and standard client application software comply with Army configuration standards, including updates and security patches.
- Troubleshoot desktop applications and email issues effectively.
- Collaborate with the Network Engineering Center (NEC) to implement system image configuration changes.
- Guide desktop services technicians and assist users with technical queries.
- Install, configure, and maintain both COTS and GOTS applications.
- Conduct commercial hardware repairs on computer systems.
- Support System Administrators in testing local applications and security patches.
- Create and update documentation for technical processes.
- Assist in the installation and testing of system software or network hardware, while documenting all client hardware and software changes.
- Utilize the Army Enterprise Service Desk system to manage customer support incidents.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation and configuration requests.
