Join Coral Future as a Climate Change Associate and play a vital role in managing our expanding portfolio of emission reduction initiatives and corporate sustainability services on a global scale. You will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial due diligence to certification in accordance with international carbon and environmental standards. The successful candidate will be based in Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities
- Source emission reduction projects and drive business development.
- Gain expertise in carbon and environmental quantification standards, including VCS, Gold Standard, I-REC, and GCC.
- Lead the implementation and management of emission reduction projects.
- Draft technical documentation and execute stakeholder consultations as required.
- Conduct site visits and travel to project locations as necessary.
- Foster strong relationships with project owners and third-party stakeholders, including auditors.
- Consult with corporations on sustainability strategies, carbon footprinting, and GHG reduction target setting.
- Research and analyze information from sources like CDP and news articles to identify potential corporate clients.
- Deepen your knowledge in areas such as GHG footprinting, Science-Based Targets (SBTs), Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), and GRI reporting.
- Manage or support critical deliverables related to corporate sustainability advisory services.
- Review technical documents prepared by team members and external partners.
- Adhere to internal guidelines and tools, ensuring all key information remains current.
- Set vision, strategy, goals, and priorities for Coral Future’s project portfolio and sustainability services, while actively seeking new business opportunities.
