Cohere Health's Clinical Operations team plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional support to our healthcare partners during their engagement with our platform. The Clinical Operations Manager is a key position within our organization, responsible for guiding the Reviewer team leadership and frontline staff through effective coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluation. Utilizing established operational tools, you will ensure that all Nurse staff and leaders meet and exceed the performance metrics and quality standards set by our leadership team.
In this managerial role, you will collaborate closely with the leadership team at Cohere Health and report directly to the Sr. Director or Director of Clinical Operations. Your responsibilities will include providing daily operational guidance to Nurse Reviewers and leadership, enabling them to achieve operational objectives and metrics. You will harness your creativity and communication skills to foster a high-performing clinical team.
As the Clinical Operations Manager, your organizational skills will be essential in planning daily operational activities and overseeing the Nurse Review teams. You will work alongside the Sr. Director and leadership to shape the team’s strategic direction in alignment with the organization’s goals. Your professionalism, personality, and communication abilities will motivate the team to consistently meet or exceed performance standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage teams of Prior Auth Nurse Reviewers, Concurrent Review Nurses, or Appeals Specialists.
- Mentor and develop team members in collaboration with leadership.
- Establish daily team priorities and communicate expectations effectively.
- Monitor timeliness reports to ensure compliance with turnaround time expectations.
- Review nurse productivity metrics and provide continuous performance feedback.
- Conduct weekly team meetings and biweekly one-on-ones with direct reports.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance efficiency.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new employees.
- Maintain strong cross-functional relationships and provide leadership coverage as necessary.
- Track nurse productivity and report performance trends to the Director.
- Advise leadership on potential process and system improvement opportunities.

- Support additional projects as assigned.
