About the Role
As an integral part of the House Rx team, you will collaborate closely with specialty care clinics to optimize outcomes for patients receiving specialty medications and enhance the pharmacy experience for both patients and their caregivers. This position requires on-site presence in Lakewood Ranch, FL.
What You Will Do
- Ensure adherence to all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, Board of Pharmacy regulations, DEA standards, and other relevant guidelines.
- Act as the designated Pharmacist-in-Charge, overseeing licensure, controlled substance management, and regulatory inspections.
- Manage daily pharmacy operations to guarantee precise dispensing, patient safety, and compliance with clinical protocols.
- Establish and enforce policies and procedures for prescription processing, drug storage, and security.
- Conduct audits, maintain documentation, and coordinate responses to regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies.
- Supervise and mentor pharmacists, technicians, and support staff to uphold quality standards and ensure compliance with continuing education requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and clinic staff to facilitate coordinated patient care, including formulary optimization and medication access.
- Investigate and address medication-related incidents, ensuring proper documentation and promoting continuous quality improvement.
- Oversee effective inventory management, including procurement, handling of temperature-sensitive medications, and recall processes.
- Engage in strategic planning to support pharmacy growth, service line expansion, and initiatives focused on value-based care.
- Serve as the pharmacy's clinical expert, providing support for patient counseling, therapeutic substitutions, and reviews for prior authorizations.
- Master the workflow of the pharmacy from prescription receipt to dispensing.
