Hours: 1 PM - 1 AM; 3 shifts of 12 hours each week

This role requires a clinically adept, registered nurse who oversees, delegates, and coordinates nursing care for hospitalized pediatric patients through a structured nursing process involving assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The Clinical Shift Coordinator interacts effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare team members, while maintaining the standards set forth by the American Nurses Association (ANA) for professional nursing practice. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership by efficiently managing daily unit operations, staff, and care delivery, utilizing a staff-focused leadership model.

- Coordinate and monitor patient care to guarantee safety.
- Collect, analyze, and organize patient care data for the unit.
- Oversee staff compliance with regulatory standards.
- Adapt services to reflect the diverse needs of patients, including age, culture, gender, race, nationality, and religion.
- Ensure accurate documentation of critical elements related to patient care and national safety goals.
- Confirm initial admission orders are completed by the end of the shift.
- Demonstrate knowledge of staffing needs and ensure compliance with the staffing matrix for each shift.
