Purpose
The CNC Machinist is an essential professional responsible for managing advanced machining processes and delivering precision components for various industries, including automotive, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing. This role entails setting up and operating sophisticated CNC machines, troubleshooting machining challenges, and collaborating with engineering teams to enhance designs for manufacturability.
This position is crucial for ensuring precision, quality, and efficiency in machining processes by adhering to rigorous industry standards and company policies. The CNC Machining Specialist is instrumental in driving innovation in the production of complex prototypes and high-performance manufacturing parts.
The Role
CNC Machining Expertise
- Set up and operate advanced CNC equipment, including multi-axis mills (3-axis, 3+2, and 5-axis), to produce high-precision components.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings while applying GD&T principles to ensure components meet strict quality and dimensional standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining challenges related to tool wear, fixture alignment, and programming errors.
Process Optimization and Innovation
- Work collaboratively with engineering and design teams to provide insights on part manufacturability and enhance design efficiency.
- Dedicate efforts towards developing innovative solutions that improve production processes.
