Your Role as a CNC Machinist-Programmer
We are on the lookout for a talented CNC Machinist-Programmer to help us develop an advanced, automation-centric computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) application. The successful candidate will possess profound knowledge of programming and machining strategy development, along with hands-on experience in machining intricate parts. You will excel at merging practical machining skills with innovative thinking, contributing to the validation and advancement of cutting-edge CAM programming methods. A proactive problem-solver who enjoys collaborating with others will thrive in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine components using CNC milling and lathe machinery.
- Manage shop space, equipment maintenance, and inventory.
- Create CNC programs tailored for diverse components.
- Assess the advantages and disadvantages of various machining strategies, including machine sequencing, fixturing, toolpath design, and tooling.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to formulate effective automated machining methodologies.
- Perform basic metrology on machined parts.
