Join our team as a Coating Operator on the 2nd Shift! In this dynamic role, you will be integral to our coating line operations, working at various stations including face unwind, liner unwind, die, main console/winder, and quality lab. Your expertise may extend to multiple coating assets within your location. This position is scheduled for B Shift from 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load raw materials into machinery and efficiently unload finished products.
- Adjust and control machine cycles to optimize performance.
- Conduct regular tests and inspections of products using standard measuring devices, making informed judgments when faced with non-standard metrics.
- Ensure production schedules are met while programming production sequences for maximum efficiency.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures and technical instructions, closely monitoring production controls to maintain compliance with specifications.
- Report machinery malfunctions and perform minor repairs as necessary.
- Maintain accurate production records and logs for equipment and product performance.
- Adjust setup and processing operations as required.
- Commit to health, safety, and cleanliness practices, consistently ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Participate in all mandatory training sessions.
- Understand and implement quality standards relevant to the Coating Operator role.
- Complete general housekeeping duties and assist in waste management within the department.
- Continuously assess current processes, seeking improvement methods to enhance product quality while minimizing waste and unnecessary work.
- Support initiatives aimed at safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Foster teamwork by assisting colleagues in achieving departmental and site goals, actively participating in team discussions and project work.
- Perform any other functions as required.
