Join DPD as a Collection and Delivery Driver and become the face of our company, playing a vital role in ensuring exceptional customer service. In this position, your key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the primary contact for customers, delivering outstanding service during parcel collections and deliveries.
- Commencing your day at our depot, where you will efficiently load parcels into your 3.5 tonne van.
- Adhering to a daily delivery schedule and optimizing your route for timely service.
- Operating and maintaining the 3.5 tonne van in a safe manner, following all traffic regulations and company policies.
- Utilizing handheld devices to accurately scan and document parcel information.
- Collecting signatures and necessary proof of delivery from customers.
- Promptly addressing any delivery issues, vehicle malfunctions, or customer inquiries with your supervisor.
- Keeping your van clean and organized, performing daily vehicle checks, and reporting maintenance needs.
- Adapting your delivery strategy to varying weather conditions.
- Collaborating with depot staff and fellow drivers to ensure seamless operations and effective parcel sorting.
- Wearing the provided uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while on duty.
