YOUR MISSION
As the Commercial Director for Glovo in Italy, you will craft and implement a robust commercial strategy aimed at fostering sustainable growth across our diverse range of partners, from renowned global restaurant chains to independent eateries. Your leadership will drive innovation in advertising and logistics solutions.
In this role, you will manage a dynamic team of over 60 professionals across four key areas:
- Sales: Dedicated to signing and onboarding new restaurant partners.
- Key Account Management: Nurturing strategic relationships with leading industry players to promote growth.
- Advertising & Monetization: Shaping and delivering the vision and commercial success of the advertising vertical.
- On-Demand Logistics: Expanding our logistics-as-a-service offerings.
You will collaborate closely with global stakeholders, including VPs, Directors, and C-Level executives from partner organizations, while reporting directly to the General Manager for Italy.
THE JOURNEY
Define, own, and execute the commercial strategy at the country level, driving increases in net revenue, order volume, and market share.
- Build and lead an inspiring, diverse, and high-performing team across sales, account management, advertising, and on-demand services.
- Hire, onboard, and nurture talent by establishing clear development paths, performance metrics, and coaching frameworks.
- Guide the sales teams to identify, secure, and develop new restaurant partnerships that enrich our customer value proposition.
- Manage key strategic relationships with Top Accounts, collaboratively developing commercial initiatives and operational plans to accelerate partner growth.
- Drive the Advertising and Monetization strategy: define the commercial model, pricing, go-to-market strategies, and enhance campaign effectiveness for restaurant partners.
- Lead the On-Demand Logistics vertical, collaborating with internal teams and external customers to expand our B2B delivery-as-a-service model.
- Utilize strong data analysis and commercial insight to pinpoint growth opportunities, revenue levers, and process efficiencies across all verticals.
- Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for HQ stakeholders, ensuring local adherence to global best practices while providing market intelligence to inform strategic roadmaps.
- Continuously evaluate and refine internal processes, structures, and tools to enhance efficiency, scalability, and productivity.
- Make independent, impactful decisions in a fast-paced environment while aligning with the overarching strategic vision of the company.
