The Commercial Manager for the Environment sector will provide leadership and expertise, reporting directly to the Assistant Commercial Director and collaborating with business leaders within our Environment Business Line. Your role will ensure that our bid submissions and projects are commercially sound and aligned with our performance metrics.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Engaging proactively with clients and the services provided by our Environment Business Unit, alongside colleagues to enhance service quality and financial metrics year after year.
- Offering risk management and commercial insights throughout the project lifecycle to optimize the performance of the Environment Business Unit and the broader Environment & Energy Business Line.
- Building strong relationships across business unit and leadership teams, including Commercial, Legal, Sales, Finance, and Operations, while providing functional support to project and market sector leadership.
- Mentoring and developing junior members of the Commercial team, including Capture Managers and Project Managers.
- Crafting and executing effective commercial strategies for bids and leading contractual negotiations, with escalation to the Assistant Commercial Director as required.
- Collaborating with proposal teams to critically evaluate pricing documents, qualifications, and project execution methodologies.
- Supporting business improvement initiatives within the commercial and operations teams.
- Ensuring compliance with Delegations of Authority and guiding colleagues in its application while assisting in the preparation of risk committee submittals.
