Position Summary
The Physical Therapist (PT) delivers specialized, evidence-based therapy to children and adolescents facing neurodevelopmental disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and complex behavioral or medical challenges. You will assess and treat patients to enhance mobility, coordination, and motor skills while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team comprising therapists, nurses, and physicians. This role is perfect for an individual who is empathetic, patient, and deeply committed to helping children achieve independence and lifelong success.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver tailored physical therapy services to children and adolescents with ASD, IDD, or neurodevelopmental difficulties.
Perform thorough assessments of movement, posture, gait, balance, and coordination using standardized assessment tools.
Design and execute customized treatment plans that foster motor learning, mobility, and functional independence.
Utilize therapeutic modalities including aquatic therapy, rhythmic auditory stimulation, and task-specific training.
Incorporate assistive technology and adaptive equipment (such as gait trainers, orthotics, and standers) to improve patient outcomes.
Collaborate with occupational therapy, speech therapy, behavioral health, and nursing teams to provide comprehensive care.
Engage families in goal-setting, therapy involvement, and home programs to ensure ongoing success.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
Participate in team meetings, clinical rounds, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program, along with a valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
