Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort is actively seeking a skilled and passionate Conference Sales & Events Manager to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis.
In this pivotal role, you will lead and manage the Events Team, ensuring the successful execution of various events, functions, and conferences while collaborating with diverse businesses and clients. Your expertise will be crucial in overseeing the sales function of your department, driving new business through effective upselling, site inspections, and maintaining robust communication with both new and returning clients to achieve budgetary goals.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Reviewing and qualifying event proposals to align with availability and our conference marketing strategy.
- Identifying peak periods and contributing promotional ideas to enhance the event planning and execution process.
- Timely implementation and distribution of event specials as required.
- Serving as the point of contact for vendors on event-related inquiries.
- Negotiating space contracts, booking event spaces, coordinating food and beverage services, and managing supplies and audiovisual equipment, while ensuring décor meets the quality standards of Minor Hotels.
- Actively promoting our restaurant and event facilities in accordance with our annual strategic marketing plan.
- Providing troubleshooting support to clients before, during, and after events.
- Assisting in budget preparation and generating reports as necessary.
