Join our dynamic team at Quantum Systems GmbH as a Configuration Manager (m/f/d) in the innovative drone industry. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing technical configurations throughout the entire product lifecycle. Your responsibilities include coordinating changes, ensuring data quality, and collaborating closely with development, procurement, production, and quality teams. Your technical expertise and understanding of systems will guarantee stable and traceable product data.
You will report directly to the Team Lead Special Projects and work in close collaboration with both national and international stakeholders to maintain transparent product configurations. From your first day, you will take full ownership of your responsibilities and actively shape processes, systems, and standards in configuration management. You will also have the opportunity to enhance existing structures and introduce new solutions for efficient and sustainable product maintenance.
Your Daily Responsibilities:
Manage, control, and maintain technical data, material masters, bills of materials, and version statuses in ERP and PLM systems.
Ensure the accuracy, up-to-dateness, and traceability of documentation for all product configurations—from development to series production.
Work closely with design, manufacturing, quality assurance, and procurement teams to implement and introduce new configurations.
Take responsibility for the completeness and release of technical documentation for production, testing, and service processes.
Continuously improve standards and processes for configuration and change management.
Monitor product data quality and ensure full traceability throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Act as the point of contact for technical configuration topics within Operations and for audits, certifications, and quality inspections.
Contribute to the introduction and further development of PLM/ERP systems and supporting tools (e.g., variant management).
Train colleagues on relevant systems and processes, fostering a unified understanding of configuration management.
