Position Overview:
As a Construction Manager, you will oversee and coordinate all on-site construction activities within your assigned subdivision. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless progression of each construction phase through meticulous coordination, scheduling, and inspection, all while upholding our commitment to quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction in alignment with M/I Homes' objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing timelines and budgets for each construction phase, ensuring deadlines are met through effective scheduling of subcontractor work and material deliveries.
- Act as a liaison among operations, subcontractors, and vendors; supervise subcontractor performance and follow up to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Conduct daily inspections of home production during various construction phases to ensure adherence to quality control standards; monitor the delivery and utilization of materials and equipment.
- Review and analyze site plans and blueprints to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Facilitate pre-construction and pre-settlement meetings with home buyers, addressing any customer service concerns and production issues to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Help manage production costs by reviewing and approving timesheets, invoices, and inspection reports, while collaborating with relevant stakeholders to prevent budget overruns.
- Provide training and enforce safety protocols and company policies among subordinates and subcontractors.
- Directly supervise team members and assist in managing subcontractors, adhering to company policies and procedures in all supervisory tasks.
- Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as required.
