AECOM is actively seeking a talented and dedicated Construction Project Engineer to become a vital part of our team in Mill Valley, CA. In this role, you will be integral to overseeing construction activities, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and in compliance with all safety and quality standards.
- Work within a field construction team, assisting in the management of construction crafts and trades in your designated area.
- Receive guidance and support from the assigned Superintendent or Project Manager to enhance your performance.
- Help in planning and coordinating subcontractor activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Monitor subcontractor personnel to ensure compliance with project plans and promote high-quality workmanship.
- Collaborate with supervisors to review staffing, material, and equipment needs.
- Enforce established policies, procedures, and work rules as directed by Field Management.
- Support compliance with safety programs, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Prepare and submit progress reports to keep supervisors updated on project activities.
- Support the Superintendent or Project Manager in monitoring subcontractor performance against project plans and schedules, including reviewing construction methods and material requirements.
- Maintain accurate records, including timecards and material delivery tickets, ensuring compliance with internal and external record-keeping standards.
- Utilize current construction management systems to track project logs, RFIs, and other documentation.
- Assist contractors with scheduling issues and monitor project pre-planning activities.
- Engage with clients, architects, and design professionals to ensure project alignment with design intent and client satisfaction.
- Facilitate effective communication among field management, project management, estimating, procurement, suppliers, and specialty contractors to ensure project success.
