Position Overview
The Superintendent is a key player in managing general contracting projects, overseeing all field operations related to a project while ensuring the highest standards of safety on site. Working closely with the Project Manager, the Superintendent will facilitate effective communication with the Project Executive, General Superintendents, and the Project Team to drive project success. Responsibilities encompass planning, coordinating, sequencing work, procuring long-lead materials, and supervising subcontractors and vendors, ensuring that all work is completed on schedule and within budget, while adhering to the quality standards set by Morley Builders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain, and execute project plans and schedules alongside the project team.
- Utilize extensive knowledge of work sequencing and develop scopes in collaboration with team members to create sub-trade packages.
- Conduct weekly coordination and schedule meetings with subcontractors.
- Facilitate weekly meetings with the project team to review project schedules, early trade buyouts, long lead items, submittals, and any project issues.
- Notify senior management of possible challenges, work interferences, or scheduling conflicts.
- Anticipate potential issues and proactively address them to keep projects on track.
