Position Overview
As a Registered Dietitian at Cylinder Health, you will provide empathetic, evidence-based nutrition care to individuals managing chronic digestive health conditions. Utilizing HIPAA-compliant phone and video consultations, you will deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) through motivational interviewing, strengths-based approaches, and behavior change strategies to help members achieve their health objectives.
You will assist members facing various conditions, including Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, IBS, short bowel syndrome, diverticulitis, chronic constipation or diarrhea, gastroparesis, food allergies or intolerances, SIBO, among others.
This contract position spans 16 weeks, commencing mid-December. You will have the flexibility to create a work schedule that accommodates your lifestyle, with one evening shift available until 8 PM and some weekend hours. You can opt to work between 30 to 40 hours weekly.
Compensation and Work Schedule
This role is an hourly, paid contract position. Dietitians are compensated for all scheduled hours, including time spent on documentation and care tasks, independent of appointment duration or cancellations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personalized MNT, encompassing assessment, nutrition diagnosis, interventions, monitoring, and evaluation.
Assist members in managing comorbidities, dietary supplements, and probiotics.
Implement evidence-based practices (e.g., FODMAP diet, elimination diets, mindful eating) to alleviate symptoms and enhance overall well-being.
Utilize counseling techniques (MI, TTM, strengths-based care) to facilitate members' transition through various stages of change.
Empower members in building self-efficacy and advocacy, while providing education, SMART goal-setting, and accountability support.
Maintain accurate documentation of sessions in accordance with clinical guidelines and company policies.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal, coordinated care for members.
Comply with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations.
