About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Contracts Negotiator to join our dynamic team at Decagon. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with a dedicated group of legal professionals as trusted advisors to various departments, including Sales, Security, Product, and Leadership. Your responsibilities will range from negotiating intricate enterprise SaaS agreements with clients and vendors to optimizing contract operations and contributing to our global legal infrastructure. Your efforts will be essential in driving revenue growth, safeguarding the business, and establishing a scalable legal framework.
In this role, you will:
- Negotiate and finalize a substantial volume of commercial agreements encompassing customer and vendor procurement contracts.
- Develop and sustain legal resources for the commercial team, including legal playbooks, clause libraries, and approval workflows.
- Engage in strategic legal initiatives, enhancing contract lifecycle management, streamlining procurement contracting processes, and participating in cross-functional projects.
Your background includes:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with 3-6 years of relevant experience, ideally encompassing at least 3 years in-house at high-growth SaaS or AI companies, enabling you to make an immediate impact.
- Proven expertise in negotiating complex commercial contracts, with a strong understanding of legal frameworks.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to navigate challenges and drive results efficiently.
