About the Role:
Pavago is in search of an accomplished Controller to take charge of all financial operations. This role is tailored for a seasoned accounting professional who can seamlessly merge meticulous financial oversight with strategic advisory roles. The Controller will lead accounting teams, guarantee compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards, deliver precise financial reports, and facilitate executive decision-making through insightful data analysis.
Responsibilities:
Month-End & Year-End Close:
- Guide the close cycles, ensuring both accuracy and timeliness (5-day close standard).
- Assess reconciliations across all balance sheet accounts.
- Authorize journal entries related to payroll, depreciation, and intercompany transactions.
- Produce consolidated financial reports including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Offer variance analyses with concise commentary suitable for executives.
- Assist in board and investor reporting obligations with comprehensive dashboards and summaries.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
- Establish and sustain internal control frameworks.
- Guarantee compliance with regulatory and tax requirements across different jurisdictions.
- Manage the external audit process and deliver PBC schedules.
Budgeting & Forecasting Support:
- Collaborate with FP&A on budgets, forecasts, and capital allocation models.
- Offer actionable insights based on variance analyses.
Treasury & Cash Management:
- Oversee liquidity and working capital.
- Manage debt compliance, credit lines, and cash forecasting.
Team Leadership:
- Guide, mentor, and review the work of accountants and bookkeepers.
- Enhance team capabilities and uphold quality standards.
Process Improvement:
- Lead ERP implementations/migrations.
- Automate workflows and strengthen SOPs for scalability.
