The selected intern will be integral to the Budget & Controls Team, assisting colleagues with budget formulation and monthly closing activities. Responsibilities include preparing the annual budget, analyzing variances against actual results, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
The intern will also support the monitoring of strategic projects, manage additional expenditures, and contribute to monthly expense reporting processes, including FI-CO reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed analyses of monthly and quarterly budget performance, investigating variances against planned budgets through RFA (Request for Approval) and reporting on significant discrepancies.
Review and update rolling forecasts from various departments within the company.
Provide guidance on budget reductions where necessary.
Reconcile analytical and management accounting records.
Assist the budget responsible person in the assigned departments with workflow functionalities and ERP maintenance.
Manage roles and permissions in SAP for budget purposes.
Organize and maintain budget files for efficient access.
Contribute to the monthly reporting process.
Support CO-FI reconciliation efforts.
Track and report on travel expenses, highlighting significant variances relative to the budget plan.
Assist the team with the implementation and rollout of SAP Concur for managing expenses.
