The Corporate Actions Analyst plays a pivotal role in processing both mandatory and voluntary corporate actions across Managed Funds, Equities, and Fixed Interest products, adhering to Key Performance Indicator targets. Key responsibilities include:
- Administering coupon and dividend income allocations, maturities, fund closures, and other non-income corporate actions like rights issues, takeovers, stock splits, conversions, share purchase plans, and IPOs.
- Gathering relevant information from fund managers, data feeds, Bloomberg, custodian agents, or pertinent market exchange websites to ensure precise processing of corporate actions.
- Collaborating with the Client Relationship and Support team to facilitate effective communication of critical information to and from clients.
- Maintaining internal stock and cash ledger controls and ensuring daily reconciliation.
- Reconciling client holdings with agent holdings to ensure accuracy during corporate actions.
- Partnering with the IT department to enhance systems for improved efficiency and accuracy in corporate action processing.
- Working closely with management and team members to refine processes for increased efficiency and control, including updating procedural documentation.
- Effectively communicating with third parties, including fund managers, custodian agents, and brokers, to ensure clarity in corporate event notifications.
- Conducting testing for team process-related functions in the context of project releases and regression testing as necessary.
- Managing day-to-day corporate actions operations to ensure compliance with SLA/KPI requirements, MI reporting, team checklists, and platform issue log management.
- Overseeing compliance and regulatory requirements to meet standards set by External Audit, Internal Audit, Internal Monitoring Review, and other regulatory obligations.
- Motivating and engaging the team alongside the Corporate Actions Manager to achieve corporate and team objectives.
