The Counter Sales Agent plays a crucial role in directly interacting with our customers daily, ensuring they enjoy a positive experience. As an integral member of our branch team, you will primarily focus on promoting and selling our extensive range of products, processing customer orders, following up on existing orders, and efficiently sourcing parts while delivering exceptional customer service. This position will also require you to assist in various branch activities to promote overall success, which may include warehouse duties such as loading/unloading deliveries, picking materials for next-day orders, assisting in receiving and restocking parts/products, and potentially operating a forklift. You will also be involved in inventory management, safety protocols, and additional tasks as necessary.

- Manage customer relationships and enhance the customer experience.
- Support the efficient operation of the branch in line with established guidelines, policies, practices, and procedures.
- Communicate with customers daily via phone, fax, email, or in person.
- Process customer orders, conduct parts research, and manage warranty inquiries.
- Promote and support sales initiatives.
- Collaborate with the regional sales force and other field staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Work closely with essential departments such as credit, billing, shipping, purchasing, and technical service.
- Investigate and resolve customer issues and complaints.
- Maintain consistent communication with our customers regarding scheduled dates and the status of backorders.
- Process credit and return requests as needed.
- Conduct daily maintenance of customer orders to ensure timely delivery in response to customer demand.
- Assist in shipping and receiving functions to ensure safe and efficient handling and storage of products.
- Oversee pricing and margins on orders to optimize profitability.
