Customer Care Tax Specialist
Start Date: March 23rd - Our training program is conducted virtually over a span of 5 weeks, and please note that no paid time off (PTO) will be granted during this training period.
Hourly Rate: $25.96
As a Customer Care Tax Specialist, you will engage directly with our customers via phone and email, playing a crucial role in the operational success of our Customer Care Tax teams. Your primary responsibility will involve assisting customers with their tax profiles, employee tax information, state setups, and related inquiries, all while delivering a customer-first experience. Moreover, you will be an integral part of larger team initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and driving improvements as our company continues to expand.
The Customer Care Tax team collaborates closely with our clientele, tax agencies, and internal teams, focusing on optimizing the payroll tax experience. We are dedicated to transforming customer interactions by leveraging technology, fostering innovation, and minimizing customer friction. Our key objective is to support customers in their payroll tax preparation, maintenance, and filing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate payroll tax concerns raised by customers and internal stakeholders, providing timely and effective resolutions.
- Assist customers with tax-related inquiries through warm transferred phone calls and incoming emails.
- Collaborate with the internal operations team and tax agencies to gather accurate payroll tax account information, ensuring precise and timely payroll tax filings and payments.
- Guide customers in identifying their payroll tax jurisdiction account details and help them make routine updates to ensure compliance with filing and payment deadlines.
- Support employers in reconciling payroll tax liabilities with their bank accounts.
- Identify root causes of discrepancies, propose process enhancements to mitigate tax issues, and optimize payroll tax filing efficiencies.
- Work alongside customers to complete Third-Party Agent (TPA) setups.
- Engage with tax agencies concerning tax notices, inquiries, penalty abatements/waivers, and tax clearances.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings and participate in special projects or additional duties as assigned.
