The Customer Order Processor plays a vital role in managing the flow of materials and finished goods within our facility. This position involves accurately reconciling incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring compliance with established procedures, and facilitating the loading and unloading of trucks.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently move freight, stock, and other materials to and from various locations including storage areas, production zones, and loading docks using appropriate equipment.
- Sort and organize cargo prior to loading and unloading processes.
- Label containers with identifying tags or markings.
- Interpret work orders or receive verbal instructions to ascertain job assignments and material needs. Document the quantities of materials handled using production sheets or work tickets.
- Maintain the organization of equipment storage areas to safeguard inventory.
- Prepare containers for shipping and repackage any damaged goods.
- Transport necessary tools and supplies to work areas and ensure their return post-use.
- Sort materials for processing or transportation.
- Load and secure shipments, ensuring all cargo is properly managed.
- Monitor conditions in cargo areas to maintain standards.
- Conduct facility cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed.
- Set up and operate material handling and packaging equipment.
- Perform other duties as directed.
