As the Data Governance Lead, you will collaborate closely with clients to design and implement their enterprise data governance program management portfolio. This role is pivotal in driving the program roadmap, aligning cross-functional teams, identifying and managing risks and issues, coordinating strategic initiatives and board reporting deliverables, crafting executive-ready communications, tracking financials, and supporting regulatory and audit requests. You will also design and operationalize processes for post-deliverable quality control (QC) sampling across data governance deliverables, establishing criteria, measurement frameworks, control checkpoints, and feedback loops to ensure consistency, compliance, and ongoing improvements. As the Data Governance Lead, you will be a key integrator, ensuring clear priorities, disciplined execution, and measurable outcomes across data governance, data risk, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Strategy and Delivery
- Collaborate in the development and maintenance of the enterprise data governance roadmap, ensuring alignment on milestones, dependencies, and outcomes across various teams.
- Manage the operational rhythm, including planning cycles, status meetings, and governance forums; ensure actions and decisions are documented and executed.
- Monitor and report on portfolio health and delivery risks.
- Facilitate adherence to the operational model by conducting established agile ceremonies to promote disciplined execution.
- Governance, Risk, and Control Oversight
- Oversee integrated RAID and control inventories; ensure accountability, timelines, and effective risk mitigation.
- Standardize enterprise data governance processes, risks, and controls in Archer.
- Monitor compliance and drive audit readiness and continuous improvement.
- Strategic Initiative and Coordination
- Foster alignment with Risk, Compliance, Technology, Data Management, and Business teams; address blockers and resolve dependencies.
- Executive Communications and Engagement
- Develop executive-ready materials, including leadership updates, steering committee decks, and portfolio dashboards.
- Regulatory, Audit, and Evidence Management
- Manage regulatory and audit interactions by coordinating requests, compiling evidence, tracking commitments, and ensuring closure.
- Ensure documentation, traceability, and control enhancements are prepared for audits.
- Data Risk and Quality Execution Support
- Design and implement processes for coordinating data defects and monitoring policy adherence; oversee timely issue remediation.
- Establish and conduct post-wave QC testing and sampling protocols to ensure quality.
