Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Data Science Manager (Marketing) to spearhead our data initiatives in a rapidly growing environment. This critical role will shape our data strategy, cultivate a data-driven culture, and ensure we have the infrastructure and insights needed to maintain our position as a leading African fintech.
In collaboration with our exceptional Marketing team, you will lead a dedicated data team to implement our marketing strategy effectively. Your responsibilities will include enhancing our existing capabilities and defining the future roadmap. We seek a tactical and data-oriented leader who can inspire fresh ideas and motivate both the team and our clients.
Daily Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the development of a high-performing team of data scientists and analysts. Craft and execute a comprehensive data strategy that sets the standard for excellence.
- Team Development: Recruit, nurture, and retain a top-tier team of data professionals.
- Experimentation: Promote and instill a culture of rigorous experimentation, including A/B testing, to guide product development and business strategies.
- Data Pipeline Management: Oversee the comprehensive design, development, and maintenance of our data pipelines.
