POSITION SUMMARY:
The Data Team Supervisor for the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) is pivotal in overseeing the daily operations of our data analysis team. This role encompasses the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of data warehouse systems and projects. The Supervisor ensures that all data reporting, modeling, and analysis projects are executed efficiently, aligning with organizational goals and upholding data integrity. Additionally, this position serves as the primary liaison for data reporting, analytics, and database support.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership in Data Management:
- Guide and manage the entire lifecycle of data warehouse projects, from initial planning and design through to implementation and ongoing support.
- Oversee a team of Data Warehouse Analysts and Database Administrators, ensuring equitable workload distribution and adherence to deadlines.
- Implement and uphold auditing processes to guarantee data accuracy and quality across all data warehouse initiatives.
Technical Solution Development:
- Partner with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements, translating them into impactful technical solutions for data reporting and analytics.
- Design, develop, and modify interactive dashboards, reports, KPIs, and advanced analytics to facilitate informed decision-making across the organization.
- Stay abreast of advancements in data warehousing, business intelligence (BI) technologies, and analytics to deliver innovative solutions.
On-Call and Technical Support:
- Provide on-call support as directed by management, promptly addressing data reporting and database-related challenges.
- Offer technical guidance, assistance, and training to users, enhancing their proficiency with data reporting tools.
Documentation and Best Practices:
- Document and maintain standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation for the data warehouse team.
- Ensure adherence to best practices for data management, storage, and retrieval across all projects.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Execute other tasks as assigned by management to further the department’s and organization’s objectives.
