About the job
Join our passionate team at Centria Autism as a Behavior Technician, where you can truly impact the lives of children with autism. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with children, implementing tailored behavior intervention plans under the expert guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Your responsibilities will include utilizing evidence-based strategies to teach essential communication, social, and daily living skills while effectively managing challenging behaviors. We seek individuals who are genuinely enthusiastic about helping children with autism achieve their fullest potential.
To succeed in this role, you must embody patience, compassion, and teamwork. We provide thorough training, ensuring you feel confident in your ability to support each child, even if you are new to the field. Given that working with children can be unpredictable, physical stamina is essential; you will need to be comfortable with various activities, including standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, squatting, lifting, and occasionally carrying children or objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
At the end of each day, you will leave knowing you’ve made a significant difference in a child's life and their family. If you're ready to join a committed team that is dedicated to transforming lives, apply now to embark on your journey as a Behavior Technician!
