About the Role
As a Department Supervisor at H&M, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and profitability by ensuring an exceptional customer experience within your department and the overall store. You will align your efforts with legal requirements and H&M's standards, policies, and procedures to meet the expectations of both customers and colleagues.
A Day in the Life
No two days are alike at H&M, but your typical day will involve:
Customer Sales & Profit
- Support the total OMNI customer experience in-store, ensuring visual and commercial presentation aligns with global guidelines.
- Positively represent yourself and the H&M brand during customer interactions.
- Identify your department's strengths and commercial opportunities, collaborating with your Department Manager to act on them.
- Ensure exemplary customer service throughout the store and empower your team to actively promote and sell products.
- Encourage your team to promote our Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and sustainability initiatives.
- Oversee fitting room and checkout routines, ensuring correct transactions, returns, and exchanges.
- Manage administrative routines for both personnel and operations accurately.
Fashion & Trend Awareness
- Stay informed about the latest fashion trends, styles, brands, products, competitors, and influencers.
- Ensure your team possesses product and fashion knowledge to enhance customer interactions.
Team & Development
- Share your knowledge and skills with the store team.
- Collaborate and plan with the in-store Visual Merchandiser team.
- Provide and receive constructive feedback to foster growth and support among colleagues.
- Communicate regularly with store colleagues to inform, motivate, and inspire through daily and weekly meetings.
- Ensure compliance with procedures, routines, and legal requirements in all store areas.
Retail Operations/ Visual & Commercial Execution
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor and back of house, including stockroom areas.
- Ensure high standards in visual and commercial product presentation and garment care.
- Monitor stock levels and provide input for allocation to the Area team.
- Ensure adherence to garment cycle standards from delivery to presentation.
