Your Team:
The Office of Development (OOD) spearheads the agency’s initiatives to create and preserve housing, collaborating with various HPD offices and city, state, and federal agencies. This office comprises eight divisions, each administering a diverse range of programs:
- New Construction Finance
- Special Needs Housing
- Building and Land Development Services (BLDS)
- Homeownership Opportunities and Preservation
- Preservation Finance
- Portfolio Management and Conversions
- Housing Incentives
- Compliance and Enforcement
The Division of Preservation Finance operates multiple financing programs aimed at enhancing financial and physical conditions, as well as preserving or creating affordability in privately-owned multi-family and single-family buildings. This division manages programs that utilize low-cost loans and property tax benefits, including the Multifamily Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program (HRP), Participation Loan Program (PLP), and several others aimed at supportive housing preservation.
Your Impact:
The Division of Preservation Finance is in search of a Deputy Director for Supportive Housing Preservation. In this pivotal role, you will assist the Supportive Housing Director in overseeing the division’s Supportive Preservation Housing Programs. You will play a key role in managing a growing pipeline of supportive housing preservation units, as well as additional affordable units within supportive housing facilities. You will also oversee the Agency’s Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) conversion pipeline, which is projected to involve over 50 transactions.
Your Role:
As Deputy Director, you will work collaboratively with the Supportive Housing Director to lead a dedicated team of Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Assistant Project Managers focused on capitally funded projects within the Federally Assisted Portfolio Preservation Programs. You will also play a critical role in developing supportive services housing programs that align with our mission.
