About the Role
We are searching for a seasoned Director of Advisor Recruiting to spearhead outreach and relationship-building efforts with breakaway advisors and Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) teams nationwide. This senior-level position is ideal for an individual who has extensive experience navigating intricate recruiting and sales processes. The successful candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of both protocol and non-protocol transitions, understand the priorities of financial advisors serving high-net-worth clients, and effectively manage a thoughtful, multi-step decision-making process.
In this role, you will oversee the entire advisor recruitment process—from initial conversations to transition planning—while collaborating closely with our growth team and senior leadership. This position demands strong strategic instincts, outstanding communication skills, and a consistent ability to establish trust with experienced advisory professionals. You will represent Compound in the marketplace, enhance our presence within industry communities, and contribute to shaping our future growth trajectory.
What You’ll Do
Lead Compound’s nationwide advisor recruiting strategy, focusing on outreach, pipeline development, and long-term relationship management.
Build and maintain trust with advisory teams, guiding them through exploration, due diligence, and transition planning.
Enhance and uphold a clear, structured recruiting process that keeps candidates engaged and progressing.
Develop and extend Compound’s presence within advisor networks, conferences, custodians, and influential centers.
Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams (Marketing, Operations, Legal) to facilitate seamless transitions for incoming advisors.
Gather market intelligence and advisor feedback for leadership, aiding in the development of future products, services, and growth strategies.
Act as a knowledgeable and credible representative of Compound in discussions with seasoned advisors considering a new practice home.
What You Bring
5–7+ years of experience in sales or financial services roles, ideally involving direct work with advisory teams.
