AECOM Advisory is on the lookout for an innovative Director to spearhead the growth of our expanding global Advisory business in key locations: Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; Denver, CO; Chicago, IL.
Leveraging AECOM's extensive expertise in infrastructure design and implementation, AECOM Advisory serves as a trusted advisor to senior-level clients and executive teams, addressing their most critical enterprise and strategic requirements. We cater to a diverse clientele involved in infrastructure, the built environment, and community enhancement, including national governments, regulatory bodies, municipal agencies, utilities, transit authorities, infrastructure operators, and investors.
Our global team comprises 400 professionals, including business and policy analysts, economists, commercial strategists, technology architects, and change management experts. We support our clients in developing strategies, enhancing operational performance, and integrating digital systems to create value for stakeholders and foster community impact. Our portfolio includes significant projects such as assisting the City of LA with its Citywide Housing Incentive Program (CHIP) Ordinance, developing SCAG’s Regional Resilience Toolkit, and executing an Integrated Human Resources Plan for LADWP’s Power System.
The Director will be responsible for various service areas within our Advisory team, including economics, real estate, planning, and climate services. This role encompasses the daily success of the team, including securing new work and delivering projects, while contributing to the US West Advisory strategy. The ideal candidate will possess robust client management, technical, and communication skills, alongside demonstrated leadership abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize industry expertise and business acumen to proactively identify, define, and develop business strategies.
- Oversee project delivery across multiple interdependent workstreams:
- Engage with clients regarding project progress and insights, including interactions with C-suite executives and senior management.
- Collaborate with regional leadership, Directors, Client Account Managers, and technical experts to identify key delivery decisions, considerations, and risks pertinent to technical scope, client satisfaction, and commercial limitations.
- Design analytical workstreams and assign tasks to project teams effectively.
- Ensure timely quality assurance and maintain project standards.
