The Banking Product Director will act as the key strategic ally for our most significant banking clients in the United States. This role will harness market insights and client needs to develop innovative product capabilities for our SaaS-based core banking platform.
This position requires a profound understanding of the US banking landscape, experience with global core banking systems, exceptional product management skills, and a commitment to high-touch client engagement to enhance adoption, satisfaction, and sustainable growth.
You will represent the voice of US clients within our organization, guiding them on best practices and aligning them with a future-focused roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement & Strategic Advisory:
- Serve as an executive liaison for Tier 1 US banking clients within the product team.
- Lead high-level discussions on core banking modernization, digital transformation, and operational efficiency.
- Facilitate regular executive business reviews, roadmap discussions, and in-depth product analysis with product specialists and managers.
- Provide expert guidance to clients on optimal product usage, architectural choices, and process advancements.
Product Strategy & Market Alignment:
- Oversee the US market requirements for our core banking products.
- Transform client feedback and regulatory drivers into practical product features, user stories, and prioritized roadmaps.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and SRE teams to ensure effective delivery aligned with US market standards.
- Stay updated on US banking industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to enhance product innovation.
- Analyze trends across global core banking platforms to identify unique opportunities for differentiation.
Technical & Business Solutioning:
- Lead workshops to align business needs with product features.
- Assist with complex integrations, migration strategies, and comprehensive banking workflows (e.g., deposits, ledgers, lending, payments).
- Collaborate with technical architects on scoping, feasibility studies, and solution validation.
- Support clients transitioning from traditional core banking systems to modern cloud-native architectures.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Work closely with Sales and Customer Success teams during pre-sales and renewal processes.
- Assist implementation teams with large-scale onboarding and transformation projects.
- Promote internal training on US banking regulations, processes, and client expectations.
Regulatory & Compliance Insight:
- Keep internal teams updated on relevant US regulatory agencies and compliance standards.
- Ensure product features and client implementations comply with US regulatory frameworks (FDIC, OCC, CFPB, FRB).
This is a hybrid position, with a flexible schedule allowing for a balance of in-office and remote work.
