Your Opportunity
We are in search of a full-time, seasoned Design Director for our London studio, who possesses a profound understanding of brand design, along with the capability to construct cohesive brand systems and visual languages.
As one of the inaugural senior appointments in our new London studio, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our collaborative processes and the high standards of craftsmanship that define our local reputation.
This position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about elevating design quality through strong aesthetic sensibility, clarity, and instinct. You will manage multiple projects concurrently, collaborating closely with a diverse team of strategists, producers, designers, and motion graphic artists. Your confidence in navigating feedback with both clients and team members, along with your ability to present ideas effectively and inspire those around you, will be crucial.
We seek someone who enjoys a hands-on approach and is adept at leading projects from conception to final execution. Your role will include mentoring junior designers, asking insightful questions, and fostering robust, thoughtful creative outcomes from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Leadership and Craft
- Lead branding initiatives encompassing brand creation, rebranding, visual language development, and design systems.
- Develop brand languages and behaviors that extend beyond mere logos and static guidelines.
- Uphold a high standard of craftsmanship through keen visual judgment, clarity, and intuition.
- Translate strategic concepts and creative direction into distinctive visual realms and brand expressions.
- Introduce rigorous conceptual and strategic thinking, harmonizing creativity with intelligence.
- Communicate a clear creative vision that motivates and inspires teams and clients alike.
- Exercise full ownership of the end-to-end creative process and design outcomes, ensuring accountability for creative quality, clarity, timelines, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Project and Client Leadership
- Ensure creative quality, coherence, and execution across multiple concurrent projects.
