The Team
As part of Upstart’s Creative & Brand Content Team, we bring our brand to life across every interaction, establishing our voice, personality, and emotional connection with borrowers and partners.
In your role as the inaugural Director of Social Media at Upstart, you will construct our social media presence — defining our identity, how we engage, and how we cultivate relationships within our communities. This is a hands-on leadership position, starting as a team of one with the opportunity to expand your ideal team over time. You will establish the vision, strategy, operational model, and measurement framework for social media, while also being involved in content creation, experimentation, and execution.
You will manage organic social strategies encompassing content creation, community engagement, and governance. Your responsibilities will include building business cases, forecasting impacts, defining KPIs, and collaborating with Paid Media and Growth teams to amplify brand and campaign effects across various channels.
This role is perfect for a visionary leader — someone who excels in shaping long-term strategies while remaining hands-on in execution.
