Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of Business Development – DOD to be an integral part of our team. In this crucial role, you will lead our growth strategy, concentrating on Federal DOD opportunities to establish Aretum as a frontrunner in delivering innovative solutions to our military clients.
Given our federal consulting operations, employees may be required to manage Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must comply with relevant safeguarding and compliance protocols. All team members may also participate in proposal efforts as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and capture new business opportunities by leveraging customer relations and personal expertise to drive revenue growth.
- Manage capture activities for critical engagements, identify gaps and upcoming requirements, assess potential teaming partners, conduct market analyses, develop and implement formal capture plans, and track competitor activities.
- Lead Business Development and Capture Management initiatives for assigned or recommended opportunities.
- Set and achieve targets, goals, and objectives for new business development.
- Formulate comprehensive strategies and account plans aimed at achieving substantial corporate growth.
- Identify leads and new business opportunities by utilizing existing relationships and accounts.
- Design and execute strategies to build robust pipelines and achieve sales performance goals.
- Engage in planning, pipeline reviews, solution development, pricing strategies, color team reviews, and provide proposal writing support as needed.
- Negotiate effective non-disclosure and teaming agreements for approval.
