The Director of Business Development plays a pivotal role in advancing the Senior Living sector by spearheading targeted account development for Food and Facilities Management services. Your leadership will drive significant business growth across designated markets. This position guides the sales journey from initial outreach to successful closure, emphasizing the cultivation, nurturing, and conversion of a qualified sales pipeline. The focus will be on proactive prospecting, account-based sales methodologies, and dynamic transactional opportunities, all while working in tandem with Marketing, Segment Sales, and Operations to deliver tailored, value-oriented solutions.
- Oversee the entire sales cycle for designated segments, from initial outreach to deal closure.
- Develop, qualify, and manage a robust sales pipeline through strategic outbound initiatives utilizing phone, email, social media, web, and digital sales platforms.
- Identify and engage potential clients within mid to large and enterprise-level target markets.
- Implement sales strategies aligned with long-term growth objectives, including go-to-market initiatives and marketing campaigns.
- Create persuasive value propositions and design innovative, customized solutions that set the organization apart from competitors.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to establish pricing strategies and competitive proposals that align with operational capabilities.
- Drive and secure smaller transactional opportunities through rapid sales engagements.
- Represent the organization at trade shows, industry conferences, and business development forums.
- Foster and maintain strong client relationships through diligent CRM documentation and the development of a Web of Influence.
- Support client retention by participating in transition meetings, quarterly business reviews, and annual expectation discussions.
- Recognize client risks and growth opportunities and develop strategies for mitigation and expansion.
- Contribute to the recruitment, onboarding, and mentoring of new sales team members as the organization scales.
- Commit to safety standards and Zero Harm principles, completing all required training.
