The Director of Business Growth plays a pivotal role within our organization, specializing in the intricate process of scaling businesses. This individual possesses firsthand experience in navigating the complexities, trade-offs, and pressures that accompany growth. Ideal candidates will have a background in leading growth initiatives within scaling firms or have successfully built their own enterprises, gaining insight into the challenges faced by founders as their companies expand.
In this position, you'll collaborate closely with founders during boardroom advisory sessions, diagnosing the core issues hindering their business. Your role will involve analyzing existing operations, formulating a refined growth strategy, and equipping the founder with a prioritized execution plan ready for immediate implementation. Additionally, you'll assist in transforming these insights into repeatable frameworks and tools that can be utilized across our portfolio.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize our diagnostic framework to swiftly assess a business, identifying constraints and clarifying the most impactful path forward.
- Examine diagnostic pre-work and data to unveil root causes, priorities, and the key decisions that drive significant results.
- Facilitate boardroom-style advisory sessions to present refined strategies and convert them into actionable execution plans.
- Establish trusted relationships with founders and leadership teams throughout their engagement—promoting clarity, alignment, and commitment. Collaborate with the internal team to codify patterns into scalable resources such as playbooks, frameworks, and training materials.
Success in this position requires keen business acumen and the ability to discern patterns across marketing, sales, and operations in companies with revenues ranging from $1M to $100M. You should thrive in working closely with founders to address complex challenges, clarify priorities, and develop practical strategies that propel the business forward.
