SOS International LLC (SOSi) is on the lookout for a skilled Director of Corporate Travel & Mobilization to spearhead and modernize our comprehensive travel, deployment, and global mobility operations across the enterprise. This pivotal role will unify executive, corporate, and program travel under a centralized shared-services model.
The Director will craft and manage scalable self-service and premium solutions that standardize procedures, enhance visibility, reinforce our duty of care, and minimize overall travel and deployment expenses. This position is crucial in ensuring compliance with U.S. Federal Travel Regulation (FTR), Joint Travel Regulation (JTR), DFARS, and global mobility standards, all while supporting both domestic and international operations in a dynamic, mission-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement a corporate travel and global mobility strategy that aligns with business goals and government contract stipulations.
- Create and govern travel and mobility policies to ensure adherence to FTR, JTR, DFARS, and other relevant regulations.
- Lead the transformation of travel and mobilization into a centralized shared-services function or center of excellence.
- Supervise domestic and international air, lodging, ground transportation, and deployment-related travel services.
- Manage the annual travel budget, focusing on cost optimization while maintaining high service standards and compliance.
- Ensure audit readiness and compliance with government-funded travel requirements (per diem, documentation, allowable costs).
- Implement automated workflows to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
- Act as the executive liaison on travel expenditures, mobility initiatives, performance metrics, and compliance issues.
- Oversee partnerships with SOSi’s travel management company, airlines, hotels, ground transportation providers, and other key vendors.
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance against service-level agreements.
- Enhance travel platforms (e.g., Egencia) to drive adoption and ongoing improvement.
- Develop KPIs and executive dashboards to monitor performance, cost, and compliance risks.
- Maintain comprehensive duty-of-care programs, including traveler tracking, risk assessments, and emergency response support.
- Manage global immigration and work authorization programs, ensuring timely processing and regulatory compliance across all operational countries.
- Coordinate with Legal, Security, and Contracts to manage immigration vendors and partnerships, including support for classified or restricted programs.
- Maintain a tracking system for visas and work authorizations and proactively monitor regulatory changes.
- Identify and implement emerging technologies and industry best practices to boost the effectiveness of travel and mobility programs.
