The Director of Development for Ad Sales Sports will spearhead strategic sponsorship initiatives aimed at enhancing our golf properties, partnerships, and platforms across NBC Sports and Golf Channel. This role involves crafting and implementing integrated sponsorship strategies that not only boost brand relevance but also foster fan engagement and drive commercial growth across tournaments, league partners, talent, and owned intellectual property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the formulation and execution of sponsorship strategies for golf-related properties, encompassing professional tours, major championships, original programming, and editorial franchises.
- Act as the primary liaison with golf leagues and rights holders, ensuring alignment between network priorities and partner objectives.
- Collaborate intensively with Ad Sales, Programming, Digital, Content, and Creative teams to develop comprehensive, cross-platform sponsorship plans.
- Identify and cultivate sponsorship-friendly marketing platforms that utilize golf IP to generate non-unit revenue and foster long-term partnerships.
- Oversee campaign planning across linear, digital, social, and experiential touchpoints, including on-site activations and major events.
- Manage timelines, budgets, and resources to guarantee efficient execution and delivery of marketing initiatives.
- Analyze performance metrics and audience insights to refine strategies and enhance future campaigns.
- Present sponsorship strategies and outcomes to both internal leadership and external partners.
