Radiant Industries is on the lookout for a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to spearhead the development and leadership of our financial planning and analysis function. While we have solid finance fundamentals in place, including reliable monthly closes, clean audits, and functioning accounts payable, we seek a visionary leader to transform financial data into strategic insights that inform operational decisions. This pivotal role will connect our robust accounting foundation with the investor-grade reporting essential for supporting significant capital deployment, production ramp-up, and rapid headcount expansion.
This position is a unique opportunity to create and implement systems from the ground up. You will be navigating ambiguity and establishing credibility with senior technical and operational leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
Develop and deliver insightful monthly reporting packages to address critical operational questions and provide strategic guidance.
Establish consistent and timely departmental profit and loss views, including variance analysis and trend identification.
Create program-level financial views to track prototype development, production units, and overhead costs.
Conduct month-over-month and year-to-date trend analysis across all business units.
Translate complex financial results into accessible narratives for leadership and the Board.
Assist in preparing quarterly board materials and investor updates.
Contribute to regular reporting on treasury yields and cash management strategies.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Provide monthly budget versus actual variance reporting with actionable insights for both internal and external stakeholders.
Lead the monthly rolling forecast process to adjust outlook based on current business trends.
Support the annual budgeting process, including bottoms-up planning and scenario modeling.
Create self-service dashboards to empower department heads in monitoring their performance.
Scenario Planning & Strategic Analysis
Perform sensitivity analysis on key business drivers and help leadership navigate trade-offs.
Assist in strategic decision-making regarding hiring pace, capital deployment, and investment priorities.
Evaluate make-or-buy decisions and offer financial insights on build-out plans.
