We are seeking a dynamic Director of Global Communications who excels in strategic vision and hands-on execution. In this pivotal role, you will define communication strategies, clarify complex priorities, and engage directly in refining narratives, addressing practical challenges, and providing timely support to our leaders.
This position is tailored for someone passionate about the business aspects of communications—gaining insights into client needs, enhancing service offerings, bolstering sales efforts, and ensuring that our communications deliver tangible value. You will collaborate on a global scale across various functions, managing the interlinked realms of marketing communications, external and internal communications, as well as change management.
At AFRY, the Transportation & Places division is integral to shaping the physical environments and mobility systems essential for societal progress. We design and implement innovative solutions across a spectrum of projects, including roads, railways, public and private buildings, hospitals, airports, sports venues, workplaces, and urban spaces, merging engineering, architecture, advisory services, and multidisciplinary expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the communication strategy for the division to enhance alignment, visibility, and commercial effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Division and leadership teams, providing strategic insights and constructive feedback.
- Guide, mentor, and support a talented communications team while maintaining readiness for hands-on contributions when necessary.
- Develop and maintain cohesive narratives across various offerings, markets, and communication channels, ensuring clarity and effectiveness for leaders and teams.
- Craft marketing and sales-oriented communications, including campaigns, client-focused content, and account-based strategies.
- Manage internal and change communications to foster understanding, unity, and engagement across different countries.
- Leverage insights, analytics, and digital tools (e.g., CRM/marketing automation, web analytics, AI-enhanced workflows) to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
