This is a fixed-term role for up to 3 years.
As the Director of Billing Operations, you will spearhead all international billing processes within the Global Customer Finance Operations (GCFO) at NBCUniversal. This organization oversees the entire order-to-cash process across various sectors, including Advertising Sales, TV Distribution, Universal Pictures International, Universal Networks, and Brand Development. Your leadership will directly report to the Sr. Director of GCFO Operations. The billing portfolio you will manage is approximately $16 billion annually, with $6 billion attributed to international operations involving over 150 company codes, diverse currencies, varying tax structures, and multiple systems.
Process Governance
- Lead and manage the Order-to-Cash (O2C) operations team and the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partner, providing clear objectives and guidance.
- Establish, track, and report on end-to-end process metrics and KPIs to assess service levels, operational effectiveness, health, and compliance for both NBCU-wide and BPO-related processes.
- Stay informed about BPO SLAs and deliverables, executing responsibilities accordingly.
- Proactively monitor and address evolving business, regulatory, and financial requirements.
- Collaborate closely with GCFO and BPO leaders to resolve service delivery issues.
- Champion continuous and sustainable process improvements.
- Ensure comprehensive process documentation and training materials are developed and maintained.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to foster improvements through design, negotiation, and persuasion.
Control
- Focus on retaining and developing key personnel within the BPO alongside team leads through mentoring and motivational initiatives.
- Proactively engage in initiatives aimed at increasing business and BPO efficiency and effectiveness, creating supporting documentation for processes and training team members on compliance and system usage.
- Ensure adherence to SOX, CGA, and audit requirements.
- Actively seek customer feedback to enhance satisfaction and implement necessary improvements.
Technical & Process Support:
- Serve as a Superuser for various Ledger systems, such as SAP and other NBCU internal ERPs.
Other Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Participate in or lead significant projects related to system and client implementations and process enhancements.
- Work collaboratively with other Finance Operations Towers, fostering unity to support collective objectives.
