Manos Software Group, a subsidiary of Valsoft, specializes in software solutions for healthcare-related sectors including dental, medical, and veterinary practices. As part of our strategic expansion, we are launching a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) aimed at enhancing the purchasing power of our portfolio companies' end customers.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Head of GPO to spearhead the establishment and growth of a customer-centric Group Purchasing Organization that consolidates buying power across a wide network of healthcare practices.
This role is not focused on internal procurement but rather aims at creating a commercial platform that serves practices as a value-added service, enhancing customer economics while improving retention and creating unique monetization avenues for Manos’ software solutions.
The successful candidate will integrate strategic partnerships, vendor negotiations, and commercial execution. Building on existing industry connections will be essential to expedite vendor onboarding, secure advantageous commercial agreements, and cultivate trust with our customers.
Scope and Opportunity
- Initial implementation across 3-4 dental and medical software enterprises
- Opportunity to include a veterinary software business
- Direct access to thousands of healthcare practices, with potential for future expansion
- Responsibility for the commercial success of either an internally developed or acquired platform
Key Responsibilities
GPO Formation and Strategy
- Lead the launch and growth of a commercial GPO for dental, medical, and veterinary practices
- Define the operational model, governance structure, and participation criteria
- Collaborate with Manos leadership on decisions regarding internal development versus acquisition
Vendor and Strategic Partnerships
- Utilize existing industry relationships to quickly establish a robust vendor ecosystem
- Identify, onboard, and manage healthcare and veterinary relevant vendors
- Negotiate pricing, rebates, service levels, and other commercial conditions
- Forge long-term vendor partnerships that scale as customer adoption increases
Commercial Model and Performance
- Develop and refine the revenue model, including vendor-funded fees and customer subscriptions
- Ensure measurable value for customers and commercial returns for the organization
- Monitor adoption rates, vendor performance, and customer outcomes
