This position is part of our Creative & Media team, located in Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Our team is a dynamic blend of talents encompassing Creatives, Influencer Marketers, Brand & Content Strategists, Account Managers, and Programmatic and Marketing Automation Consultants. JOB PURPOSE
As the Growth Strategy Director at DEPT®, you will serve as the senior strategic leader and media representative for one of our most complex and high-profile clients. You will take ownership of the media agenda and act as the principal contact for media strategy, content leadership, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
You will balance long-term strategic vision with hands-on leadership, ensuring that ambitious goals translate into impactful outcomes. Your role will integrate media, content, creative, influencer, and performance disciplines into a unified full-funnel strategy that not only challenges competitors but also drives measurable business results.
In this capacity, you will thrive in a complex and politically nuanced corporate environment, earning the trust of senior client stakeholders as a strategic partner. Internally, you will be a connector, motivator, and decision-maker, providing clarity, urgency, and focus to teams, especially during high-stakes, large-scale campaigns like international sports events or major brand launches.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the senior media lead and content authority for the client, owning the media narrative and direction.
- Guide the overall media strategy, ensuring consistency, quality, and ambition across brand and performance initiatives.
- Serve as the primary senior contact for media strategy with the client’s senior stakeholders.
- Expertly navigate a complex client landscape with sensitivity, authority, and confidence.
- Deliver compelling presentations and insights to diverse audiences.
