Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all laboratory operations, programs, and activities to ensure adherence to regulatory and organizational standards.
Manage staffing levels, competency validation, recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of laboratory personnel.
Provide leadership, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for laboratory staff.
Formulate and implement departmental strategies focused on quality, service excellence, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, and patient satisfaction.
Prepare and present Monthly Operating Review reports to stakeholders.
Monitor financial performance of the laboratory, manage resource utilization, and identify opportunities for cost improvement.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards including CAP, CLIA, CMS, FDA, and Joint Commission.
Develop and maintain laboratory policies and procedures with annual reviews.
Manage relationships with vendors and oversee laboratory supply contracts.
Encourage open communication and implement structured communication plans within the department.
Delegate operational responsibilities in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
Continuously assess department performance and implement initiatives for improvement.
