As the Director of Marketing for Retina Healthcare Professionals and Facility Lead, you will report directly to the Head of Marketing, US Retina. This pivotal leadership role involves overseeing the Retina on-market innovation marketing team, guiding direct reports in crafting and implementing an effective go-to-market strategy. You will be the brand champion for innovative Retina programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish a robust launch strategy.
This position is critical in setting the strategic direction and executing comprehensive marketing plans aimed at healthcare providers, ambulatory surgery centers, hospital outpatient surgical centers, and practice administrators. A deep understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and provider relationships is essential to transform local business insights into actionable strategies for optimal brand performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Retina innovation marketing team, promoting a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (sales, national accounts, market access, medical affairs, operations, finance, R&D, regulatory, compliance, and legal) to ensure cohesive execution of brand initiatives.
- Work in partnership with the lead Clinical Trainer and clinical training team to synchronize efforts between clinical and sales teams for effective surgeon and site activation.
- Collaborate with AbbVie trade, market access, and supply chain teams to formulate distribution and contracting strategies that support a seamless product supply network.
- Develop and implement multi-year marketing strategies that align with business objectives and compliance standards.
- Partner to influence the product pipeline in alignment with market needs and long-term commercial strategies.
- Oversee product launches, ensuring effective positioning and go-to-market plans for ASC and HOPD surgical environments.
- Manage market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights initiatives, focusing on hospitals and outpatient surgical centers.
- Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers in both Private Equity and non-Private Equity physician networks, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), and surgical facilities.
- Drive comprehensive digital marketing, advertising, public relations, and event strategies targeting institutions, healthcare providers, and patients.
