Director of Mergers & Acquisitions - France
Job Profile:
As a key leader within the M&A team, the Director will spearhead a multitude of acquisitions annually, guiding the process from initial evaluation to post-closing integration. This role involves engaging with business owners to assess alignment with our acquisition criteria and to conduct thorough evaluations of prospective companies. Following acquisitions, the Director will be tasked with devising strategies and implementing operational enhancements. Collaborating closely with the origination team, operating partners, and finance professionals, the Director will be expected to cultivate and expand the M&A function within their industry vertical, providing strategic leadership and guidance to the team.

Responsibilities:
- Engage with software owners to convey our value proposition of being the ideal permanent home for their businesses.
- Oversee multiple acquisition processes from Letter of Intent (LOI) to closing, working collaboratively with business owners to navigate critical issues and ensure successful transactions.
- Conduct financial analysis and develop valuation models.
- Lead due diligence efforts to identify potential risks and opportunities in target companies.
- Effectively coordinate internal resources and manage external vendors (technology, accounting, legal) as required.
- Manage the post-acquisition integration process, applying the company's best practices for operating software companies and leveraging opportunities identified during due diligence.
- Foster relationships with business brokers and bankers to enhance business development initiatives.
- Build and develop an M&A team tailored to support the growth of a specialized vertical.
