Director of Sales (NSW & Qld)
Convera, a leading global provider of commercial payment solutions that facilitates seamless international transactions, is on the lookout for a driven and strategic Director of Sales (NSW & Qld) to spearhead B2B sales initiatives across New South Wales and Queensland.
The ideal candidate will possess a tenacious spirit, exceptional motivation, and resilience, coupled with a competitive mindset. As the leader of a dynamic team of Business Development Managers, you will be responsible for generating a diverse pipeline of clients, including SMEs, corporate entities, and blue-chip organizations, while shaping and executing the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy for your team.
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Contribute to strategic sales planning and business development efforts.
- Devise and implement effective sales strategies to broaden the client base and meet sales objectives.
- Oversee team performance, including hiring, coaching, development, promotion, retention, and engagement of Sales Development Representatives, Business Development Managers, and Senior Business Development Managers.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the foreign exchange (FX) market, compliance, legislative changes, and broader economic trends to proactively address client needs.
- Leverage market data and Convera’s unique value proposition to identify new prospects and cultivate a continuous pipeline.
- Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including establishing revenue targets and providing regular performance reports.
- Develop long-term sales strategies with key partners to foster revenue growth and client retention.
- Actively pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking events, referrals, exhibitions, and strategic partnerships.
- Introduce relevant support functions, such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Corporate Hedging Management, to clients.
- Lead negotiations with high-level stakeholders across various organizations, securing profitable agreements.
- Monitor performance metrics to gauge success, utilizing sales tools such as Salesforce.
